Notes on the subconscious and other stuff…
The subconscious mind responds to belief, enthusiastic belief. Your conscious mind feeds your subconscious with any and every word you utter so be especially guarded of what you say and your tone or attitude when you say it. Stop for a moment and imagine that belief is a commodity. The more belief you have, the stronger that belief becomes. Most people are aware of the benefits of affirmations; however, again, most people leave enthusiasm and belief out of the equation. Strong belief along with strong desire is required for virtually all manifesting. Various ideals related to your desires must align in your subconscious. Among these ideals we find Truth, harmony, peace Love, along with anything that is right and good. Right and good might be considered virtuous or honorable.
Consider creating a working metaphor for your life whereby the conscious mind is in communication routinely with the subconscious mind. Be deliberately aware of this. With that in place, many mental and physical conflicts arise. The conscious mind may be gently removed from a fruitful reality. I’m referring to resentment, fear, lack of self esteem and other mistaken beliefs tend to dominate unless the individual intervenes on his/her own behalf.
The subconscious takes and receives orders from the conscious mind though the conscious mind may be grossly mistaken in what might be right for the individual. That last sentence is quite important. This often leads to conflict so be sure to only offer ideas and plans that align with what you actually want. A simpler way of putting this is to be careful when making any and all suggestions to the subconscious. One takeaway here is that the rational and consistent input you offer your subconscious reaps major benefits in the way of delivering various desires to the subconscious. Next stop from there is manifestation. Virtually everything, good or otherwise, originates with the conscious mind. Your subconscious accepts any and all input, therefore it’s super important to offer only words, thoughts and emotions that are nurturing in nature.
All of your dreams, desires, feelings, emotions and visual images originate in the conscious mind and are “accepted” by the subconscious whether they are resourceful feelings or otherwise. We humans run into problems by not paying close attention to our thoughts. Virtually every waking moment there are many thoughts, ideas, and plans of all types along with extraneous white noise making their way to the subconscious mind. We run into problems as we are often careless with our thoughts and repeat things that are not aligned with what we desire. Here’s a simple but damaging example: “Damn, was I ever stupid just now… I can’t believe it. I keep doing the same thing over and over and over. I guess I’m never going to get the hang of this!” The subconscious records such statements and if we are to continue saying things like this, your subconscious will be more than happy to deliver whatever goes with being stupid. In fact, someone launching such a verbal tirade is past the point of simple small mental adjustments. This type of talk is on a slightly higher level of difficulty.
Here’s another self defeating example. Say you want to find a better job. Obviously that’s a worthwhile goal, however millions of people claim they want to be better, more prosperous, more talented, etc. And this individual, without thinking, follows up these noble thoughts repeating things such as, “I’d never qualify for something like this,” or “all of the really good jobs are taken or promised to men and women that have inside connections with the personnel department at the company.” And as the conscious mind repeats and internalizes these mental errors, the subconscious immediately puts the brakes on the individual as IT BELIEVES our guy/gal doesn’t truly want to improve. In fact, it’s the ever present stream of negative thoughts, suggestions, jokes, and other random fly by negativity that determines how things will actually go. Some refer to this as mind friction.
It’s essential that you are fully aware of your thoughts and feelings at all times. Consistent monitoring of your conscious expressions is the key. And when some idea shows up and isn’t part of your plan you simple discard it immediately. When I say something that isn’t aligned with what I want or who I am I most often say, “Deflect.” That reminds me that what I’ve said is not to be taken seriously. If someone is only occasionally slipping with pessimistic conscious input, a short reminder directed to the subconscious might be in order. The obvious point is to train yourself to avoid or sidestep unholy mind chatter or actual verbal slips of the tongue.
Every day, without fail I review what I’ve said and done and make adjustments at that time. I would much rather deal with it as it happens but that’s not always an option. When it’s feasible I deal with it then and there. But that’s not the end of it. Before I go to bed I turn to the heavens and thank Spirit for all of my blessings including my mistaken words and thoughts. Of course I correct the mistakes I made mentally or internally when I’m meditating or praying. Doing this helps in purging the subconscious mind of thoughts, ideas, etc. that don’t serve me. And this purging, so to speak, opens your subconscious to implant suggestions that DO serve you. My point is simple. You’ve gotta stay on top of it. The good news, is after you’ve been at it for a few months, you’re going to realize that you are now in charge and that you no longer need to be dealing with these constant slips of the tongue.
When you desire something or someone go about it with belief, faith, intent, and firm expectancy. Spend fifteen minutes a couple of times each day to develop a mindset that incorporates these feelings. And if you’re not in touch with what I referred to as firm expectancy, find someone that does understand it passionately. You might find such a character in a movie. For some odd reason the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz comes to mind. He started off as a weenie and ended up a hero. That, in a way, is what you want to do (I’m not saying you’re a weenie). There are many more contemporary examples out there. I’m sure you can find one or two that will work for you.
What follows is stuff to avoid. Sorta like politicians.
I always get:
The worst seat in the theater
The most difficult test questions
The last stale donut
Hand me down clothes from my skinny brother Bernie
Lukewarm beer on a sizzling hot day
People that aren’t sincere
I can’t do this, waaha! I’ve never been able to do this, waaah!
I can’t afford this, I’ve never been able to afford this…
We’ll stop here for a break as my stomach is becoming queasy. A “deflect” might be in order right around now.
Everything we want in life is already there for is. We mess this up with our wayward thinking. It’s also evident in the way we treat ourselves and others. If we think about, and mentally support anger, regardless of its so called righteous cause, we will receive these things back sooner or later. Sooo… what’s the answer? The answer is in your heart. Start by thinking ahead. Look at you distant and recent past. Determine if your past behavior and thinking is serving you now. If not, make a plan to change it and then stick to a schedule to get it done. A short personal pep talk to the gal or guy in the mirror should be a good start. The same thing goes before retiring at night.
Realize though, that it took time to create undesirable circumstances and it will take time to change. The good news is, however, that you have big metaphysical mojo on your side. That’s your subconscious mind again. You must become consistent in the way you express your desires. You want as much passion and emotion in your appeals as possible. And yes, I’m going over this a second time because it appears most of us need that before taking this stuff seriously. I was once the poster boy for this sort of foolishness and in reality it’s actually very simple to overcome.
But you’ve got to do the work. I’m not sure where I’ve heard that before but it’s flat out true. If you incorporate belief, faith, sincerity, intention and desire into your conscious thoughts the things you are after must follow. As Esther Hicks, Dr. Joe and many others say: It’s the law. Think of the subconscious mind as a bank containing anything you want. The way to go about getting those things you’re going after is frightfully simple. You ask. And again, the more passion, belief and feeling you put into your asking, the faster your desires are filled. Who do you ask? You can start with Spirit or if you have someone close in the physical plane that might be able to help, ask them.
Eventually conscious thought become unconscious thoughts. As we’ve covered, subconscious thoughts are the home of emotions along with desires and bonafide, certified creativity derived directly from your inspired mind, the subconscious. The subconscious mind doesn’t recognize good and evil. Things are simply the way they are and it’s up to you to change them if you don’t fancy them as they are. Remember, the subconscious mind is the seat of emotion and is the creative mind. Spirit is involved as well but that’s a topic for another time. Blessings

I loved the article. In these troubling times we need to focus on the things we can control starting with positive self talk. I appreciate you Carmen. I hope to see you soon❤
