Emerald Aisle Forest
I am nearly two weeks past the date I prefer to post, but I was deeply occupied doing things that really matter to me and most of them included traveling.
Since early April I have put over 2000 miles on my car. That is a lot for me! I have dug razor clams, picked morels, gone fishing, helped my aunt with an estate sale, shopped with her for a new place to live, walked on Rialto Beach, and more.
During my recovery it became clear that I have to make even more changes to my lifestyle if I want to continue to live here and thrive. The most important thing that I have done is to change the name of my place from Emerald Aisle Farm to Emerald Aisle Forest. Honestly, it is much more of a forest than a farm. As a forest I will be able create a harmonious balance with my surroundings versus the constant battle with nature in order to farm small parts of this property. Emerald Aisles are Green Paths or Green Trails and those I have in abundance hence the name in the first place. As a forest my grass can be fields or meadows. Weed patches can be slowly nurtured into wild flower patches. I can feed more bees, butterflies, and wildlife with thoughtful long term plantings.
My foot is healing nicely but I still can't keep up with my peers on a walk. I have not seen an x-ray of my foot since the surgery. I knew that I had a rod fusing the bones across my foot but just learned of the two plates located under my parallel scars.
I just created a Facebook group called Davis Mastermind Group. Each of you will be invited to join the group if you are on Facebook. Blogger is considered outdated and old-fashioned so I will move into this century by using Facebook. If you are not on Facebook, I will do my best to send you a copy of the updated post via email.
Over time, I will upload all of the posts from Blogger into the Davis Mastermind Group, but this is the last post that will be uploaded to Blogger.
I want to continue to encourage you to write to me about your successes and your dreams for your future. I know it is a challenge to expose yourself to the group but the change over to Facebook will make it easy for you to send me a private message and you will know that only I am reading it. However, you will find it much easier to reply to a post inside of a Facebook group than a post inside of Blogger. I hope you will find the new format more user friendly.
Sincerely, Carmen Davis
